As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have been keeping a close eye on the information being distributed. We have compiled important information that has been issued by the Australian Government and other government agencies this week.

The Rubiix Team are now working externally. This is to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and the community. We encourage the use of programs such as Skype and Zoom to continue communicating with our clients and network. We have been using these programs to communicate with our interstate and overseas clients for many years and believe there will be no change in the level of advice we can provide. 

We are confident you will experience no interruptions to your usual service and will experience business as usual. We will ensure you can access our regular services and support regardless of circumstances over the coming weeks.

Supporting Businesses to Retain Jobs

The subsidy program introduced by the Government aims to support employees and businesses by assisting to cover the costs of employee wages. 

The program outlines that eligible employers will be paid $1,500 (before tax) per fortnight per eligible employee.

 The subsidy will start on 30 March 2020, with first payments to be received by employers from the first week of May.

At this stage, you can only register your interest in participating on the ATO website.

Business Support Fund 

The Victorian Government has launched the $500 million Business Support Fund to help small businesses survive the impacts of COVID-19 and help retain employees.
