On September 3rd one of our dedicated staff members, Ash Bravington, completed the 28 floor climb, to raise funds for the Murdoch Childrens Research institute, as part of the Firefighters Charity Fund.
Ash had hoped to raise $343 towards the fundraising goal, but he smashed that out of the park and has already raised $650! You can still donate to this worth cause on the Climb’s website here. Ash finished the climb in 12:25 and we are super proud of him!
Ash is a volunteer CFA firefighter at Carrum Downs, and he competed in full structural firefighter gear weighing 25kg! The Firefighters Charity Fund aimed to raise $343,000 for the nominated charity this year, the significance of that figure is in honour of the number of fire fighters (343 in total) who perished in the twin towers disaster in America in 2001.
